Saylorville Lake Marina Boat Ramp
RAMP UPDATE – PLEASE READ
As a result of the 2008 flooding at Saylorville Lake, the Corp of Engineers boat ramp on the marina property was closed to public access due to several collapses of the surface. Only marina staff was allowed to be on the ramp for boat launch and retrieval. This has not been changed for the 2009 season.

Funding has been appropriated for the repair in 2009. The Corp of Engineers is planning a start date for this project near the end of May and an estimated completion window on or near the end of August. They will not repair the ramp in sections to allow minimal use during reconstruction. There has been discussion surrounding delay of the project, however, and per the Corp of Engineers, this places the available funding at risk.

The end result is that we must comply with the Corp’s decision to move forward with ramp replacement project and we all must make adjustments for this situation. Unfortunately, this will cause disruption in some marina services and suspension of others.

We have been granted permission to build a temporary ramp for small sport boats (25’ and under). This will be an earthen, rock and gravel ramp that will have severe weight limitations. Only SLM staff will be allowed to use this ramp. It will not be public. We are in the throes of determining construction costs and feasibility.

Wireless Internet
Wireless internet will be offered during the 2009 boating season for Saylorville Marina Customers.  Please contact the office for more information. Download WiFi Application - (pdf)

Dock Repair
The dock repairs from the 2008 flood have been moving along. As of April 15th all water and electricity services have been restored. As of April 28th the 900 dock is still closed for use. There are still a few slips located on the ends of the 700 and 800 docks that are being repaired. The estimated time of completion for this work is the week of May 4th. Please contact the marina office before you launch your boat for the season if your slip is located in the effected areas. Please be careful when entering your slip for the first time this season. If your slip was repaired due to the damage there may not be side wood or bumpers on docks. We are currently finishing the 900 dock then will be coming back to install the missing wood and rubber. The marina staff has been working very hard to complete the repairs for the season and is sorry for any inconvenience that may have occurred during this time.
